Raising money for Pregnancy Loss Australia - donate through Everyday Hero
$250 in the last few days! Thanks to Alphabiz and Mags & Peter and to Emma, Sarah & Mega Tron from Ireland.
I've been wearing my t-shirt to a number of Adelaide Fringe gigs and had to twirl a couple times last night so people could see front and back.
We saw Gordon Southern last night and he was fantastic. My facial muscles ranged from idle smile to rapturous laughter throughout the set. Jo even told me I looked younger afterward. I'd rank it in the top 5 comedy gigs I've seen, a great mix of eclectic irreverence and brilliantly crafted material.
We were fortunate enough to end the evening in the Fringe Club which was yet another reminder that despite its knockers Adelaide can well and truly bring it! Even if only for the months of February & March.
Thanks again to everyone who has donated. We're still > 2 months out from the mission and we should smash the target.
On the day of my 40th birthday I BECAME what is believed to be the first person to have a beer in each mainland Australian state and territory on the one day - raising money for charity along the way. Please Donate Here!

Just as well it wasn't my birthday yesterday... The DRW-BNE flight was w-a-y late such that we would have fallen at the first hurdle.
The donations keep rolling in. My lovely in-laws have just celebrated their 50th anniversary and kicked in a $50 donation and Sam Parij has chipped in again under yet another pseudonym.
I'm running Google Analytics on this site and not only have we had donations from all over the place we've had visitors from 20+ countries thus far. Nice.
So the Fringe is on here in Adelaide at the moment and so far we've seen 5 shows - or 6 if you count Mickey D at our conference. We'll probably see another 15 before the Fringe finishes.
Back to the mission... We'll have about 36 hours in Darwin prior to our first flight and we're interested in suggestions as to what to do. Chuck in a comment if you've got any ideas. Cheers.

My t-shirts arrived today - which is amazing considering I ordered them after hours on Monday night. So, thank you www.theprintbar.com Who'd have thought a custom printed t-shirt would be delivered in less time than a non-custom t-shirt?
The front of the t-shirt carries the updated infographic:

I also have the flight schedule on the back. We've got lots of Fringe shows and Soundwave to attend over the next few weeks. Somehow I don't think my t-shirt will be the most avant garde at either of those festivals but hopefully it will help get the word out there.

So far, so good...

I've received a couple flight change notifications of late and luckily they are minor and/or favourable. In the words of Dr Ellie Alloway from Contact "I'm okay to go!"
We're still 11 weeks from take off so a lot can change...
I would like to thank Dom & Josh and Jane P for their recent donations.
And because February is a short month I've kicked in a bit myself to get us into quadruple figures!
I had the floor at a conference on the weekend and was able to promote www.bens40th.com so hopefully there can be a bit of a push from that - dollars or promo are greatly appreciated. The delegates at the conference helped me train for the big day.
I hope to finish the tour t-shirt tonight and get them made in time for the Adelaide Fringe as we'll be getting along to quite a few shows. Speaking of which Mickey D graced our conference once again and it'll be good to bump into the great man once or 20 times during the Fringe.
